THE SEARCH IS ON FOR MISS EARTH AUSTRALIA 2009

Who Can Enter?

We are looking for earth-loving participants who will motivate members of their local communities to take action to protect the Earth from man-made pollution. Our candidates must be cheerful, intelligent, articulate, beautiful, knowledgeable about environmental issues and be committed to doing their best to help make our planet clean and sustainable.

We are looking for fun and cheerful, Earth-loving participants with a personality that will encourage others to clean our Earth and make our presence sustainable.

To be a part of this incredible event, you must (i) have a working knowledge of environmental issues; (ii) be able to talk about pain-free solutions that can be taken at home and at work to reduce wastage of resources and encourage sustainability; (iii) have planted a tree and have encouraged those around you (family, friends, workmates, members of your community) to plant trees.

The criteria requires that Candidates:

  a.. Must plant a tree or trees before coming to the finals in Sydney in September 2009.
  b.. Are interested in environmental issues.
  c.. Must be between sizes 8 and 10
  d.. The candidate must be a citizen or a resident in Australia
  e.. The candidate is a person of good moral character
  f.. Be between 18 and 26 years of age (during reigning period)
  g.. Have completed High School or an equivalent course
  h.. Never have been married, nor been pregnant and never given birth
  i.. Born female
  j.. Willing to travel to Sydney in September 2009 for the grand final.
These criteria are strictly enforced.

Have to be in Sydney in September 2008 for the National Pageant, Miss Earth Australia 2009. Must send us at least 8 photos. No group photos please.

Miss Earth Australia 2009, the winner of our National Pageant, will attend the International Pageant overseas sometime between October and November 2009.

Miss Earth Founder, Maria James, congratulates the winners for this year.

The event at the Roundhouse was attended by a wide variety of the community and enjoyed by all.
